Matthew Schnürr
CAREER HIGHLIGHTS
With more than 35 years of experience, Matthew has successfully completed more than $4 billion of equity, debt and structured transactions on residential, office, industrial and retail properties. In addition, he has recapitalized operating partner portfolios, incorporating institutional joint venture capital.
Prior to starting Baden Advisors, Matthew served with Transwestern Structured Finance and Investment Sales co-heading the New York Office. Prior, Matthew was a member of the Institutional Services Group at Grubb & Ellis Company, and, before that, in the Institutional Properties Group of CB Commercial Real Estate Group, Inc.
Previously, Matthew served in the corporate finance department of Drexel Burnham Lambert. While there, he was responsible for originating new client business, generating more than $5 billion of new business in high yield fixed income transactions, real estate syndication placements and economic development bond financing.
Matthew began his career in public accounting, originally focusing on commercial accounts for multinational construction firms and, later, specializing in federal taxation.
EDUCATION
Matthew received a Bachelors Degree from Seton Hall University in Accounting, Biology and Psychology.
He has completed numerous continuing education courses at the New York Institute of Finance, including Technical Analysis, Risk Arbitrage and Options Strategies.
Matthew was also the Captain of the fencing team at Seton Hall University.
